Karen Handel

This week, Dr. Gene, Bil Lako, CFP^®, and Ted Parrish, CFA had the opportunity to interview former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel. Handel is currently seeking the Republican nomination for the gubernatorial race in November.

During the interview, Handel discussed her visions for bringing new businesses to the state, as well as building upon existing state programs to engage business leaders and support both established large corporations and small businesses.

Handel also discussed her desire for a comprehensive tax reform for Georgia and that downsizing state government would provide a way for the governor’s office to avoid raising state taxes and make operations more efficient.

The Republican hopeful also tackles tough questions about the future of teachers and the education system in Georgia and our state’s immigration policy.
