Indices ended mixed on Friday. The Dow and Nasdaq added fractional gains. The S&P 500 closed slightly in the red zone. Trading ended flat, having rebounded off earlier low levels. Technology shares in particular, moved up in late afternoon action. Brands such as Intel, Verizon, and United Technologies stepped up.
