Ms. Lay joined the firm in July 2022 and her responsibilities include reviewing client financial statements, working with individuals and small-business owners to prepare tax projections and return preparation, in addition to providing tax planning and consulting services. She provides recommendations to clients to improve their tax filing by identifying relevant deductions and finds applicable strategies to minimize tax liability. Ms. Lay also calculates estimated quarterly tax payments so clients can avoid underpayment penalties. She also provides monthly bookkeeping services using QuickBooks.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Lay processed individual tax returns at an accounting firm in Canton, GA, and has assisted clients with tax returns at nationwide tax franchise. Additionally, Ms. Lay has nearly 20 years’ experience as a purchasing specialist in the industrial and manufacturing sectors, which gives her a unique insight to controlling costs, helping her business clients.

Ms. Lay earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Kennesaw State University, and recently completed her Master of Accounting at Kennesaw State University. She is working toward her CPA license.
