In merger moves, the Eaton Corporation agreed to acquire Cooper Industries for $11.8 billion in cash and stock. DaVita plans to purchase HealthCare Partners for $4.4 billion. Looking ahead, existing-home and new-home sales data will be released on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
