Research Analyst Earns Advanced Designation

Henssler Financial is proud to announce that Troy Harmon, Senior Research Analyst, received his Chartered Financial Analyst™ designation.

“We encourage employees to continue their professional development by earning certifications and professional designations,” said Gene W. Henssler, Ph.D., President and Chief Investment Officer of Henssler Financial. “I’m very proud of Troy’s accomplishment. Becoming a CFA charterholder is a very arduous process.”

The CFA designation is given to investment professionals who have successfully completed the requirements set by the globally recognized CFA Institute. To be eligible for the CFA designation, candidates must have at least four years of professional investment experience, pass three rigorous six-hour exams over at least three years, and commit to abiding by CFA Institute’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.

“The CFA Program is extremely thorough, and has taught me to focus on the fundamentals and work to ignore emotional reactions,” said Harmon, who is most familiar with the Financial, Industrial, and Energy sectors for the firm. “The uncertainty and unpredictability of the markets makes for the most interesting and challenging aspect of my work.”

“We recognize the benefits of having a number of chartered professionals on staff,” said Theodore L. Parrish, CFA, Director of Investments for the firm. “We encourage our research team to be equipped with the proper tools and knowledge that will help us succeed in the finance industry.”

Harmon has been a part of the firm’s in-house research department since 2006. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Kennesaw State University. He is Bloomberg certified, and has appeared as a host on “Money Talks,” the firm’s financial talk-radio show.

CFA, Chartered Financial Analyst, and the CFA logo certification mark are trademarks owned by CFA Institute. Charterholders who fulfill the requirements of the CFA Program are granted permission, or a license, to use the marks to promote their accomplishment.
