A Red Session

Tuesday’s session ended in red territory. Stocks traded lower in the wake of less-than-stellar earnings reports from such brands as 3M, DuPont and United Technologies. Meanwhile, crude oil futures shed $1.98 to settle at $86.67 a barrel. On another note, Apple took a breather today following the launch of its new iPad mini and ahead of the release of quarterly details, which is scheduled for Thursday. Companies such as AT&T, Boeing and Bristol-Myers Squibb will issue earnings tomorrow.
