Karen Handel

This week, Dr. Gene, Bil Lako, CFP^®, and Ted Parrish, CFA, had the opportunity to interview former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel. Handel is currently seeking the Republican nomination for the gubernatorial race in November.

Handel and former Congressman Nathan Deal will square off in a run-off election on August 10, 2010, to become the Republican candidate who will face Democrat candidate Roy Barnes in November.

Both candidates were excited for an opportunity to reach an audience that is focused on the issues that face our state, and one that understands the importance of strong leadership and fiscal responsibility.

During the interview, Handel discussed her campaign, including her position on education, immigration, tax reform, and her plan to bring business to our state.

Nathan Deal will join us on for the August 8th “Money Talks” broadcast. Our goal is to have the winner of the run-off, as well as Roy Barnes on air prior to the November election.
