February 2014. Kennesaw, Ga.— Henssler Financial is excited to announce that John W. Dickson III, C.P.A., CVA, has joined the firm as a Tax Manager, bringing more than 13 years of experience to the firm’s Tax & Accounting Division and public accounting firm P.T. Henssler, C.P.A., LLC.

With a focus on tax planning and compliance for corporations and partnerships, Dickson specializes working with closely held entities in the professional services, manufacturing, technology, transportation, construction and real estate industries He emphasizes minimizing the overall tax burden and addressing the individual tax needs of the closely held entity owners.
Dickson assists clients with capital investment tax planning strategies including energy efficient tax incentives and specifically the 179D tax deduction.
“Henssler has a very solid investment philosophy for small businesses and business owners. They place a great amount of emphasis on tax planning,” said Dickson. “I believe my deep understanding of tax issues and ability to help clients achieve their goals will be a benefit to Henssler’s clients.” Dickson is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst.
Prior to joining Henssler, Dickson was a Senior Tax Manager with a regional accounting firm and a large Atlanta accounting firm. He has also worked in the corporate tax department of a national retail corporation and was responsible for the preparation and filing of state and local income tax returns and the resolution of state income tax issues resulting from business operations.
Mr. Dickson earned both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, he is an allied member of AIA Georgia.
